ABOUT ME

My name is César dos Santos, born in Lisbon, Portugal.

My interest in cinema began at the age of fifteen when started being exposed to the classics, from the suspenseful Hitchcock films to the smiles and laughs brought to us by Louis de Funès.
Upon finishing High School, I decided to pursue my bachelors degree in Film Studies at ULHT in Lisbon, Portugal.

Being enrolled in a course with people with the same passion for cinema, I instantly got motivated to work with them and learn from different creative minds.

I took part in a few freelance jobs that involved operating a camera and also worked part time at a theatre in the projection room. Attending FEST Training Ground in 2014, Lux Film Prize and W oFF in 2015 gave me the opportunity to meet actors, filmmakers and producers from all around the
world such as Teresa Palmer, Scandar Copti, Umut Dag and Gareth Wiley.

These experiences drove my aspiration to advance in photography and editing.
